Topic Questions - Decision making
Who is entitled to vote?

Why would people not vote?


Look for a political party policy promise that is NOT focused on education or the environment.
  What political party?
  What is the policy promising?
  What do you think that means?
  Do you agree with it?
  Are any of the other political parties promising the same thing?

What’s happening in the world?

Find a news article, either from an online news site or from the paper.  
It can be local news (from around Porirua and Wellington),
national news (from around New Zealand), or
international news (from around the world).
Make sure you write down….
  1. Where you got the news article from (the source)
  2. The heading (the title of the news article)
  3. Who is in the news article
  4. Where is the article based (local, national, international)
  5. What the news article is about (what’s happened)
  6. What YOU think about the news article.

Week 11
Not forgetting this week.
This might be the last week of the term, but that doesn't mean there is no homework!!!!
But only a little.
I want you to take AT LEAST 3 (THREE, TORU, not 1 or 2) basic facts sheet to practice.  Work on accuracy and speed.

Spend some time on Prodigy Maths.  I know that some of the questions are getting tricky, but it will be worth it.  :-)





Read and read and read and read!!!

Help at home.  Do the dishes every night for the week, put out the rubbish, feed the pets, look after your younger brothers and/or sisters, cook dinner, help with the washing.  What ever it is.  help out.  


Week 10
Opps Sorry, I forgot to add the homework for this week.  My fault, but everyone got at least 1 page of basic facts to practice.

Find some photos and either bring them in to be copied/scanned, or email some to your school email address.
More Basic facts practice using fact families.  If you know how to multiply numbers, then you already know how to divide numbers.  Just ‘FLIP IT’!

Then remember your basic facts practice.  

Practice your division by using your knowledge of multiplication and then flipping it over.
